About Us

The Associated General Contractors of Vermont (AGC/VT) is the leading voice for Vermont’s construction industry, representing the professionals, businesses, and partners who build the infrastructure, communities, and economy of our state.

Since 1934, AGC/VT has worked to strengthen the construction industry through advocacy, education, workforce development, and strategic collaboration. Our members include general contractors, specialty contractors, suppliers, financial institutions, insurers, consultants, and service providers.

We represent the industry, and we work every day to make it stronger.

AGC/VT advocates for sound public policy at both the state and federal levels, bringing the perspectives of construction professionals directly into the decision-making process. We partner with technical centers, safety organizations, and industry leaders to support workforce development and promote safer jobsites. Through training, resources, and timely industry insight, we help our members adapt, compete, and grow in an evolving marketplace.

Just as importantly, AGC/VT fosters connection across the industry by creating opportunities for collaboration, professional development, and stronger business practices.

AGC/VT also provides administrative and program support for the Vermont Independent Electrical Contractors Association (VIECA), Project RoadSafe, Vermont Redi-Mix, and Vermont Timber Frame Association - organizations that operate as divisions within AGC/VT and expand our role in advancing Vermont’s construction workforce.

AGC/VT is proud to serve as a state chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America, a national network representing more than 25,000 construction firms. That connection gives Vermont contractors both strong local advocacy and a voice at the national level.
