“The Agency was founded in 1966 by Joseph E. Rowley. Since that humble beginning we have grown to be one of New England’s largest locally owned insurance agencies,” says Joe Ralbovsky of The Rowley Agency, Inc.
Today, The Agency is guided by Daniel E. Church, C.E.O., and Gary M. Stevens, President, with 61 employees serving 3,200 clients throughout New England.
As Joe explains, “We interact with our clients to understand their unique needs and challenges.” That means providing insurance, surety bonds, benefits, and risk management for their specific needs.
Rowley is constantly working with their clients to review, subcontractor insurance certificates, bid specs and pre-audit preparation. Rowley is also very active presenting workforce safety classes to their clients’ employees.
“We see our role as a trusted advisor to create a value-added relationship,” says Joe. Take for example a new requirement the Vermont Agency of Transportation put into place for contractors working on projects that began in late 2018. The change now requires increased liability limits both per occurrence and aggregate for contractors working on VT AOT jobs.
Instead of waiting to see how the change would impact its clients’ insurance policies and costs, The Rowley Agency proactively determined which clients would be impacted and how the various insurance carriers would respond to help make the necessary changes as seamless as possible.
Armed with the facts, The Rowley team then worked with their clients to review the information and determine the necessary steps to provide adequate insurance coverage in compliance with the changing Vermont Agency of Transportation landscape.
This level of care demonstrates why Rowley has been a long-time member of AGC.
“We care deeply about the construction industry in Vermont and want to support their Association. AGC of Vermont offers important safety and workforce training that keeps the industry and Vermonters safe. Plus, the legislative advocacy that the organization offers. There is no way our members could ever take the time to follow legislation in Montpelier or Washington. AGC is the industry’s “watchful eye.”
“We know the construction industry,” says Joe. “We’ve seen just about everything and we take that knowledge and apply it to create customized risk management solutions for our clients.”
Knowledge, experience, a strong commitment to your company’s success…this is what contractors receive when they partner with The Rowley Agency.
