Equipment Operator
Lajeunesse Construction Inc. is expanding and looking for Equipment Operators to work closely with the project manager as well as crew to ensure that jobs run smoothly and safely. CDL class A is preferred, as well as a minimum of 3-5 years experience with equipment such as excavator, roller, skid steer, dump truck, etc.

- Site Layout
- Reading and understanding plan details
- Working around grade stakes
- Loading Equipment on and off trailer
- Proper tie downs
- Check surroundings for traffic or electrical lines
- Trenching- digging to proper depth
- Safety during trenching (trench box, sloping banks, air quality)
- Awareness of other worker and equipment around jobsite
- Leaving open trenches overnight
- Grading
- Rough Grading and site clearing
- Tree cutting
- Fine grading for finishes and concrete
- Erosion Control
- Proper silt fence installation and maintenance
- Seed and mulching
- Hay bails
- Pipe Installation
- Proper pitch
- Pipe connections glued/gasket/ or mechanical joint
- Running drain tile
- Wet tap and corporation installation (Mike Mcdougal)
- Ductile and plastic installation
- Copper domestic line/ floor penetrations
- Setting storm water structure to proper depth
- Drilling structure and water plug and or boot installation
- Demolition
- Only done after all abatement has been completed
- Safely tearing down houses and buildings of different material
- Making sure water, sewer, and power has been disconnected
- Dust control
- Barricading
- Loading roll offs safely and to proper level
- Separating wood, metal, and masonry
- Compaction
- Compacting in specified lifts per specs on plans (usually 8-12”)
- Directing vibratory roller, jumping jack, or pad tamer
- Compacting with water if necessary
- Dust control
- Leaving Jobsite
- Checking for hazards/ cleaning up that days mess
- Proper barricades and ribbon
- Leaving equipment in line looking professional
- Winter Conditions
- Winter fuel
- Warm grease guns/grease
- Cleaning out lags on machines the night before
- Allow machine to warm up before use
