Heavy Construction Laborer 2
Casella Construction is seeking to add new talent to our Construction Laborer Team for 2023 spring-summer construction season. The Construction Laborer 2 performs a wide range of physical labor tasks in support of workers on the construction site. Casella Construction provides unique construction projects that allow for hands-on learning and the opportunity to be a part of a team that oversees a project from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains a safe work environment.
- Executes tasks assigned to Laborer 1 without supervision.
- Moves materials to the worksite and ensure all tools, machinery, and other equipment are safely setup.
- Sets up lasers to complete simple grades.
- Takes ownership of projects assigned.
- Operates and cares for construction equipment and machines.
- Assists skilled laborers.
- Follows instructions from construction superintendent and project manager.
- Completes daily paperwork.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements |
Qualifications:
- 1-2 year of experience as a construction laborer.
- Ability to lead and direct laborers.
- Experience with rigging.
- Experience with construction jobsite layouts and grading.
- Must be able to work some weekends and or nights, when necessary.
- Must be able to travel out of town for a day or a week.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather.
- Ability to participate in regulatory trainings (First Aid/CPR, OSHA 10, Flagging, Spotter).
Physical Requirements:
- Must have physical strength, balance, hand eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climb inclines for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
