Truck Driver, CDL A & B
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for operating a 6-Wheeler Dump Truck or a Tri-Axel Dump Truck, depending upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Work will primarily consist of hauling hot mix asphalt and aggregates. The ideal candidate will have prior dump truck driving experience. The candidate must have a CDL-B or a CDL-A license, be able work with others as part of a team, take direction from others, and have a good work ethic. Blaktop and its sister company, Twin State Sand & Gravel, are locally owned and family run businesses that have been in operation for over 70 years. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in building and maintaining our nation’s infrastructure. Job is seasonal, typically May thru November.

Duties, Responsibilities, & Requirements
- Operate company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Show up to work on time & on a regular basis.
- May be required to perform manual labor duties at times, such as assist with the cleanup of spilled material.
- Perform pre-shift safety inspections.
- Complete daily paperwork for fueling, equipment maintenance, job sheets, etc.
- Perform daily routine maintenance.
- Clean out the body of the truck as needed to prevent cross contamination of products.
- Clean truck regularly to maintain its appearance.
- Interact with and treat customers and contractors with respect.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- CDL-B or CDL-A license required
- Ability to work independently in absence of supervision.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Ability to take direction from others.
- Ability to perform manual labor
- Prior dump truck operator experience preferred.
- Good work ethic.
