Buildings Project Manager I – Operations & Maintenance

Buildings & General Services (BGS) at the State of Vermont is seeking a Buildings Project Manager for a position within the Operations & Maintenance Division. The Project Manager will be part of a cross-functional team that works closely with the various divisions at BGS. The Operations & Maintenance Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of maintenance projects that may include flooring, roofing, generators, elevators, and mechanical trades. This position will also oversee service contracts in various building trades, including plowing, lawn care, and water treatment. Candidates must have the ability to establish effective working relationships and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in building construction or a closely related field.
OR
Associate’s degree in building construction or a closely related field and two (2) years or more of experience in building construction, repair, and/or maintenance or conducting code compliance reviews of buildings and of building systems. (i.e. plumbing, electrical, and mechanical) including one (1) year or more of experience overseeing construction or renovation projects.
OR
High school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years or more of experience in building construction, repair, and/or maintenance or conducting code compliance reviews of buildings and of building systems (i.e. plumbing, electrical, and mechanical) including one (1) year or more of experience overseeing construction or renovation projects.
