News agencies nationwide reported Sunday morning that the US House of Representatives agreed upon and pass a 45 day budget continuing resolution. This resolution stops the Federal Government shutdown that was expected to begin on October 1st. This will allow Congress to spend 45 days on continuing negotiations tied to non critical spending like the war in Ukraine and other projects from critical expenses like workers salaries, debt service and operational costs. President Biden signed the stop gap measure this morning while criticizing House Republicans for the near crisis that was avoidable.

For now program funding for projects relying on Federal workers and financing should proceed as normal. If you run into any challenges please reach out to us at AGC/VT and we will do what we can to assist.
