News Icon Crane Training

April 24,25,26 & 27 at AGC's Training facility in Montpelier. 8:00 - 4:00 daily. Light breakfast and lunch provided. $540 pp for classroom training and written test $300 or $450 for practical testing depending on bringing your own crane to be tested on or renting one.

Training Objectives " How to use and operate mobile cranes safely in accordance with OSHA and industry standards, including: " Crane set-up " Load dynamics " Lift planning " Load charts " Rigging and signaling (This training is classroom only, and it is assumed that you have some practical experience operating a crane. If you have never operated a crane before, or have very limited experience, practical training can be arranged on an hourly basis at additional cost) " Recognize and avoid unsafe conditions associated with the operation of mobile cranes and movement of loads. " Reduce employer liability exposure through OSHA-required training and certification

Equipment Covered " Large telescopic boom cranes (swing cab/rough terrain) " Small telescopic boom cranes (fixed cab/boom truck)

Operator Certification Operator licensing is available to those operators who meet experience and training requirements. Testing is through the CIC (Crane Institute Certification) and includes both a written and a practical exam

Certificate of Training Certificates of training suitable for framing are awarded each participant upon successful completion of the training program. Underwritten by a grant from The VT Dept of Labor's Next Generation Program
