What happens at Construction Career Days?
CCD is open to all construction related Tech Center Programs in all 17 Tech Centers in the state of Vermont. Our previous CCD days hosted between 500-600 students, mostly juniors and seniors, looking for their "next step" within the construction industry.
Students are introduced to the often overlooked, exciting and lucrative career opportunities in the construction industry.
Industry representatives are present to answer students questions regarding job opportunities and descriptions, salaries, and benefits.
Students are able to participate in numerous hands-on activities, including welding, operating excavators, riding in tree buckets, and jack hammering. Students also try out CADD drawing, test the latest surveying equipment, thermal cameras and much more.
