Cathy brings an extensive portfolio of experience to her position as Executive Vice President. Her financial management expertise is derived from her prior ownership of a retail and entertainment business. She attained considerable legislative experience as a former member of the Vermont House of Representatives, which she served in for eight years. She spent seven years gaining greater knowledge of state government when she was appointed by Governor Jim Douglas to the post of Director of Government Affairs, Housing, and Transportation for the Vermont Agency of Human Services. She uses her skills to develop effective lobbying strategies and how to continually meet the needs of association members.
Richard is a nationally recognized expert in workplace safety training. He has served as the AGC/VT Safety Director for more than a decade and is an OSHA/MSHA certified trainer. His skills have been acknowledged by many Vermont companies who have sent employees to the extensive safety courses taught by Richard over the past 15 years. Richard also assists AGC/VT members before federal and state government regulatory boards and commissions.
As the Director of Administration, Debbie is experienced in training activities and trade show development and administration. She is also responsible for scheduling the vast array of workplace safety training courses. Her expertise is gleaned from positions with public and private entities.
Norman is project manager for Project RoadSafe, a driver-safety awareness program designed to assist both employers and employees of the Vermont business community in understanding the realities and consequences of distracted and impaired driving. Norman has held management positions with Vermont state government and other professional associations. He also has extensive knowledge of the communications industry and government affairs.
